The UNTWIST project was present at the Lipidomystes days organized at Sorbonne University in Paris. This event was organized by the lipidomystes network which gather all the French expert in lipid analysis. Malo Le Boulch was invited to introduce the reconstruction of metabolic networks and a selection of tools for this purpose. Furthermore, a focus was made on the integration of lipid metabolism in a metabolic network and the difficulties associated with it. This introduction was followed by the presentation of the UNTWIST project along with the importance of understanding the mechanics of Camelina sativa‘s stress response to climate change. First results for the bottom-up modeling were introduced as well as methods used for the reconstruction of metabolic networks in the project. Finally, the main results of the top-down modeling approach obtained by machine learning were shown in order to introduce all aspects of modeling in the UNTWIST project.
