From 21 February to 1 March, AgroParisTech and its partner INRAE will showcase the use of camelina and several activities from the UNTWIST project at the Salon International de l’Agriculture in Paris.
Visitors will have the opportunity to explore camelina as an intermediate summer crop, learn about ongoing breeding programs aimed at improving its adaptation to climate change, and discover insights into consumer preferences for food.
As part of the exhibition, INRAE will present a detailed poster highlighting the contributions of the UNTWIST project, including research on camelina’s agronomic performance, its environmental benefits, and its role in sustainable agriculture.
A hands-on card game will allow the public to compare camelina oil with rapeseed, sunflower, walnut, and olive oils. Participants will explore the oils’ taste, nutritional value, and environmental impact, making the learning experience both interactive and fun for all ages.
Camelina is an ancient oilseed crop that has been known in Europe for centuries but is still rarely produced. This event offers a unique opportunity to rediscover its potential and learn how it can contribute to a healthier diet and more sustainable food systems.
