In October, the International Scientific Conference entitled “Crops for the future – breeding for resilience 2023”, was co-organised by ADAPT and UNTWIST in Ljubljana/Slovenia. Current developments in the breeding of stress-resistant crops were presented and discussed at the conference.
Various topics were covered, from stress physiology and signaling, phenotyping and molecular adaptation mechanisms to modelling and breeding. In addition to presentations by partners from ADAPT and UNTWIST, the EU-funded research consortia Photoboost, GAIN4CROPS, INVITE and INNOVAR were also presented to promote networking of projects for sustainable agriculture of the future under changing environmental conditions.
